Baked Spelt Chicken Strips

Spelt flour is easier to digest than wheat flour and it has a pretty impressive nutrient profile. Some of those nutrients are fibre, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and iron.

Boneless Chicken Breast

1/2tsp

Garlic Powder

1/2tsp

Onion Powder

1/4tsp

Dried Oregano

1/4tsp

Paprika

1/4tsp

Sea Salt

3/4cup

Spelt Breadcrumbs

1/3cup

Avocado Oil

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cut chicken breasts into strips.

In one bowl, add breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika and sea salt and mix to combine.

In another bowl, add avocado oil.

Dip chicken strips in avocado oil and then into the bread crumb mix, making sure each strip is coated. Place on baking sheet. Repeat until all chicken thighs are done.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked. Around the 10 minute mark, flip chicken over.

Serve with fries, veggies or your favourite salad. Dip in your favourite dipping sauce too!
