Savoury Stuffed Dates

This easy appetizer is perfect to prep ahead of time. Plus it’s that perfect combination of sweet and salty with a little spice. These are great for gluten-free and grain-free conditions.

3oz

Goat Cheese

1/2Lemon

Lemon Zest

3/4tsp

Aleppo Pepper

Pitted Medjool Dates

2 1/2oz

Prosciutto

1/2Tbsp

Honey

1Sprig

Fresh Thyme

1/2tsp

Flakey Salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, mix together the goat cheese, lemon zest and Aleppo pepper.

Stuff each date with the goat cheese mixture and wrap with prosciutto.

Use a toothpick to secure the dates. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 14 to 15 minutes, until the prosciutto is crispy.

Serve with optional garnishes such as honey, thyme and flaky salt. Enjoy!

Notes: If you have extra goat cheese, use that to dip the dates in as some of the cheese can come out of the dates.

Substitutions: Aleppo pepper: use chili flakes, or omit for no spice. Prosciutto: use bacon instead.
