This recipe doesn’t require a juicer (but if you have one, great!) Just a quality blender and a mesh bag or cheese cloth for straining.
Instructions
1
Wash all your produce.
2
Peel your ginger. To peel your ginger, just use the back of a spoon.
3
Chop your apple into wedges, chop up celery, parsley and kale. Remove the peel from the lemon and cut into smaller pieces. All your ingredients are ready to be juiced!
4
If you have a juicer, then please juice away. If you don't have a juicer, then follow along.
5
Get out your blender and pour in the 2 cups of water and then add in the kale, apple, parsley, celery, ginger and lemon.
6
Puree all the ingredients until smooth.
7
Take your mesh bag and wrap it over a large bowl.
8
Pour your juice into the bag.
9
Once all the juice is poured into the bag, remove the bag from bowl and gently twist the top of the bag closed. Slowly twist the bag so the juice escapes. Keep twisting and squeezing the bag until all the juice is released.
10
Toss all that extra pulp into your compost.
